Christmas presents for girls

Christmas is coming. And maybe you should think twice about buying that little girl something pink and frilly.

More and more, girl teenagers are declaring they are 'really' boys, and such is the lunacy of the moment that 'professionals' are perfectly likely to help damage her body in the belief that she is transgender.

One example is the young woman pictured left, Keira Bell, who is now suing the 'professionals' who damaged her health by acceding to her voiced desire to be a boy. She was just sixteen.  It didn't take many years for her to regret that decision.

I think a lot of the phenomenon of teenage girls suddenly wanting to be boys is a revolt against the girly-girl training that is foisted onto them from the time they are born. (Other reasons - wanting to be special, and peer pressure.)

Refraining from trying to force her into a narrow gender role can help avoid future damage. So this Christmas, buy that little girl a truck instead of a rainbow coloured unicorn adorned with long and curly mane and tail. Buy her a building set instead of yet another Barbie. And if you do buy her a Barbie, make it an astronaut Barbie or something similar.

And instead of dressing her in a pink and frilly 'princess' type of dress, give her the option of active play with more practical clothing.

I am not saying that she should never have the pleasure of dressing up or playing with that cute unicorn toy,  just that she should have options, and she should understand that she has options.

A girl can do anything she wants to do. She does not have to be a boy to do 'manly' things, and she needs to know that.  And maybe that will reduce the likelihood that some well meaning but ultimately very foolish professional ends up damaging her body and her health.

The image to the left is a little girl in around 1960.  Girls then were not relentlessly forced into pink and frilly.  Girl then, overwhelmingly, grew into healthy women.

That a little girl could turn into a man would have been laughed at.  And so it should be.

And just incidentally, there is the corollary.  If you have an effeminate boy, simply accept him as he is. Not all boys are 'boyish.' It does not matter. He is likely Gay. It does not matter if he is, but please, if he says he wants to turn into a girl, explain that it is impossible.  Impossible, no matter how many ideologues would like to say different.

Love your child the way they are, and it is much less likely that he or she will  try and turn into something different.

The Docility of Australians

Covid-19 and our adherence to the restrictions, some of them over-reach, and some quite totally mad

We are very obedient people in Australia. This has been demonstrated very clearly in the recent abrupt shutdown in South Australia.   (November, 2020)

To start with, they had a few cases, leakage from Hotel Quarantine. Incredibly, after seeing the ghastly mess that Victoria had already made of their quarantine, they were using the same sort of casualised labour as Victoria did - hiring with 'diversity' in mind instead of competence.

The cases grew to around 17,  most of them from the same family.  And PANIC!  With barely any notice at all, the population was put under house arrest.  The population of the whole state!

South Australia is a big state, and all of the cases were in Adelaide.  And yet everything in all of the regions were as shut as in the city.  The cases grew to maybe 25 - not a big figure!

People were to be allowed out, no more than 1 person from each household, and no more than once a day, to buy groceries.  You were not allowed out to exercise, not allowed out to walk the dog.

It was a very strict lockdown,  and absolutely, totally overkill even in the city where there were a score of cases.  A very few excuses were permitted, eg medical appointments.

The lockdown was supposed to last six days, and was based on the belief that this particular strain of the Virus was incredibly infectious, more so than anywhere else in the world - ever.

But then it was discovered that it was no more infectious than anywhere else. They had believed the lie of a casual worker, that he had merely been a takeaway customer of a Pizza place, when actually he worked there.

So the lockdown was cancelled - not entirely and not immediately.  But people were largely freed to go about their business.

A quick roundup for the episode can be seen in the link below:
https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/11/20/covids-pizzagate/?fbclid=IwAR37-TJtBQ-nWRqbTUUBoqsRo8P6a6md5TcwgFFDw4K-OiU_ZyVsS6R35eE

But so much damage was done, and so unnecessary.  There is an argument for a lockdown of the area where an outbreak occurs, even some argument for a lockdown of the whole city. But South Australia is around the size of  Egypt.  Around the size of France and Germany combined.
There is no argument for a lockdown of country areas. It is punishment without reason. It is lunacy.

The town of Edithburgh was closed down along with all of the other towns, villages and households.  I think there is only one pub in that small town, so many miles from Adelaide.  Ridiculous!

(Particularly good meals there, if I remember correctly.)

The Yorke Peninsula with all of its tiny towns like Kadina, Moonta and Wallaroo - in lockdown.

How absurd to do that to all of these country people for a score of cases in Adelaide!

What seems incredible to me is that South Australians were so compliant. They closed up their shops and their businesses without fuss and went home - except for those who spent hours and hours waiting for a Covid test.

Weddings and funerals cancelled.  Imagine how many months go into the planning of a wedding, and for so little reason, or no reason at all, it has to be cancelled.

And funerals. People travel miles when there is a funeral to attend.  Does the body just have to wait?  Even if you are in Ceduna, say, 777 kms from Adelaide?  There is a lot of refrigeration needed in the heat of summer in Ceduna!

And face-masks. There is an argument for the wearing of face-masks in crowds and on public transport.  In SA, they started to make face-masks compulsory - any time you were outside, the same as the lunatic rules in Victoria, until they realised there was a shortage of masks.  They then made it only 'strongly advised.'

The lockdown was the most severe and the most abrupt almost anywhere in the world. They outdid Victoria, who at least allowed an hour of exercise each day.

Victoria's lockdown lasted months, but there was more to justify it.  That was the 'second wave' lockdown, which started in July, (a few weeks after a BLM protest.)  Even now, after weeks of no new infections, there are still strict restrictions. At least the mandatory wearing of face-masks has been somewhat eased and the curfew in Melbourne dropped.

Face-masks.  It was always ridiculous to try and enforce the wearing of masks when outside, even if no-one was near.

I cannot imagine Victorian farmers wearing face-masks when going about their work, but the rule was that they had to whenever outside. A $200 fine if found not to be wearing one.

                     Picture right,
                      near Castlemaine,
                       Western Victoria.
There were an enormous number of fines issued in Victoria over things like being ten minutes out after curfew and not wearing a mask.

There were few objections by Victorians, but rather, most citizens were condemning of those who did not comply with every last ridiculous and ineffective rule. There was a lot of 'dobbing,' (informing)  which is characteristic of a population living under dictatorial rule.  The premier had a lot of support, and still has, even after his pathetic performance during an inquiry into the escape of the Virus from quarantine.  Andrews 'could not remember' who decided how to staff the Quarantine Hotels, and oddly, no-one else could, either.

Victorians had thousands of cases and over 800 dead. They do seem to have eradicated the Virus from their state now, and have resumed taking in travellers from overseas, putting each in Hotel Quarantine for 14 days. The authorities should be running the quarantine a lot better this time around, but since they never admitted  responsibility last time, the same things could happen all over again.

The total compliance and even approval of most citizens is what puzzles me.  The premiers of those states which closed their borders to other states long after it was reasonable, were given very high approval ratings, even when businesses suffered so greatly.  Even when families suffered so greatly.  Parents not permitted to see their children who happened to be in boarding schools in a different state.  A woman barred from going to help nurse her dying father. A mother separated from her dying three-year-old son.  A daughter denied permission to visit her dying father, and then denied permission even to go to his funeral.

So many tales of tragedy, and yet no-one seemed to blame the premiers.  So many seemed to think that 'keeping them safe' from the Virus was so much more important than the heartbreak of individuals.

It was widely understood that the prolonged closure of borders in Queensland was political rather than to do with the health advice.  Politically, it seemed to work. Annastacia Palaszczuk, premier of Queensland,  was comfortably re-elected in October.

Most of the compliance appears voluntary, although probably some have in mind the absolutely ruthless policing that Victorian police have become known for.

I suspect that the harsh treatment of obviously harmless and law-abiding people is to send a message - do exactly as you are told or you will find yourself in trouble.  When obvious criminals are seen being arrested, most of us do not relate it to ourselves, who have never been criminal.  But when ordinary people doing ordinary things are harassed, then we do think that it could be us.

So the message is OBEY OR ELSE!    Totalitarian, authoritarian.  A police state.

September, 2020.

Two elderly women were sitting on a park bench in Melbourne, Victoria.  They were surrounded by five police, one of whom snatched a phone from one of the women.

https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8704435/Police-officer-snatches-phone-elderly-threaten-arrest-Melbourne.html

There was an elderly lady sitting alone, reading. She was told to move on.

We saw people relaxing in a park, no-one sitting too close together, although there were family groups.  Mounted police were riding among them, far too close. It was a heavy-handed reminder of  restrictions.  This was not merely overly zealous, it was dangerous to those people sitting on the grass.  Any horse can be spooked, and that could have meant innocent people being trampled.

There is the notorious example of a pregnant woman arrested and handcuffed in her own home and in front of her small children.

https://www.breitbart.com/asia/2020/09/02/watch-pregnant-aussie-mother-arrested-for-allegedly-inciting-coronavirus-lockdown-protest/

A law professor.  Professor Barnett needs to go for regular walks in order to stay fit in spite of her cerebral palsy. Her mother has had a double hip replacement. They were walking together, and stopped for a rest and a coffee.  That is when the police demanded they move on.  'You're not allowed to stop walking,'  they said.  So I guess they hobbled on.

https://www.news.com.au/world/coronavirus/australia/coronavirus-victoria-police-order-law-professor-and-elderly-mother-to-keep-walking/news-story/d367e6c4e05b48b45b673fdc5b9f0cec

There have been a very few small anti-lockdown protests in Australia, ruthlessly suppressed.  But the great majority of people seem to simply assume that the threat is from without, and our divinely appointed rulers know best.  There were supposed to be 4,000  'close contacts' in that South Australian cluster of not much more than a score, nearly all of them from the same family. 4,000 'close contacts.' It does not sound believable.  It is not believable.

But people lined up for testing in their thousands, even when it meant standing out in the heat for several hours. Few complained, that I saw or heard of.  They all seemed to think it was for the safety of all, even when there are so many thousands not within a hundred kilometres of the nearest case.

Human Rights Watch  September, 2020.

Human Rights organisations, usually so avid to find anyone in breach of human rights when it relates to illegal immigrants and the like, have been almost silent on human rights when it involves Covid law.

At least they did say something when it was proposed that police should have even more powers than they had under Victoria's State of Emergency and State of Disaster declarations, both of them still current. Human Rights Watch  advised against it and said that 'Victoria’s police have used harsh measures during the Australian state’s Covid-19 lockdown that threaten basic rights.'

https://www.hrw.org/news/2020/09/24/australia-harsh-police-response-during-covid-19

In other countries, people are beginning to rebel.

There are lockdown protests in Europe, in Britain and in America.  I guess they are not as obedient as we Australians are.

Some business are simply refusing to comply with restrictions.  The usual result is a crippling fine.

https://www.dailywire.com/news/watch-ny-business-owners-kick-out-health-dept-sheriffs-civil-disobedience-starts-now?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=benshapiro&fbclid=IwAR3o_6iVPIrj7MzheSCJIo_JhxJ5-KAAYfQEmz41eanxR_tpI4iydYIdiR0

Covic-19 has given an excuse for most governments in all of the world to become more authoritarian.  Citizens are losing their privacy.

Lost privacy:  Early in the Pandemic, we were all being strongly urged to put an ap on our phones that would recognise the proximity of another phone, 'like a virtual handshake,' they said, and that would help track the spread of infection.

A lot of people downloaded the ap as so strongly advised, although there were others who didn't like the idea they were being tracked wherever they went.  There were emphatic assurances that the ap was there for that single purpose and the data would be erased after 28 days.

Anyway, the ap didn't work very well, and is no longer spoken of.

The next thing is that people signed in at restaurants and pubs (once they were opened.)  Just a name, address and phone number on a sheet of paper.  And this, too, was supposed to be destroyed after 28 days. People were assured of that  'for privacy reasons.'

I expect most were destroyed. People don't bother keeping lots of paper.

But the thing now, to replace the paper notes, is computer check in.  What they call 'QR codes' are now mandatory in NSW and will probably be adopted in other states.

'QR codes are a common of electronic check-in system. QR codes operate like barcodes, with information that can be read by a smartphone camera. Some phones may require a free QR code reader app, which are available from the Android or iPhone stores.

Some businesses are already using QR codes to collect customer details as they are convenient for businesses and customers. They provide a hygienic, contactless way of signing into a venue.'

https://www.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/covid-safe/customer-record-keeping/qr-codes

So now details are computerised.  We are already so well trained in obedience and so accustomed to being tracked, that I have seen no objection to this idea, and the government has not considered it necessary to assure us that the data will be erased in 28 days,  nor have they bothered to assure us that other data will not be collected.

-------------------------------

Conspiracy theories

The clamping down on freedoms is providing fodder for conspiracy theories - that the restrictions have more to do with getting us into the habit of total obedience and docility than it has to do with a nasty contagious virus.

There is the one that 'nanoparticles' or maybe simply microchips will be injected with the coming vaccines.

There is the one that the vaccine will render its victims infertile or simply dead because the world is over populated.  (which it is.)

Or maybe it is all to do with the 'Green New Deal,'  'Agenda 21' or 'The Great Reset.'   Who knows?  What I do know is that unthinking docility can be a lot more dangerous than a nasty flu virus.

A brief and basic history of Covid-19 in Australia.

We are very obedient people in Australia. We are told what to do, and nearly all of us do it.  To begin with, what we were told to do sounded reasonable. March 2020, and we were told a terrible new Virus was spreading and had to be controlled at all costs. We had to  'flatten the curve' of the 'exponential' growth in Covid cases (then called a 'Novel Coronavirus,')  so that hospitals would not be overwhelmed, and there would be enough ICU beds and ventilators for any person who needed them.

The shutdown of so much was very sudden and people were scared. There was a drastic shortage of face-masks for nurses and doctors, and that was when we were told the general population should not bother with them because they did more harm than good.   In any case, no-one could buy face masks, no-one could buy hand sanitiser or even basic disinfectants.  'Panic buying' was blamed, although it turned out that a lot of the shortages were due to organised gangs buying up goods in demand in order to send them to China.  (That was proven, so don't call me xenophobic.)

Disused hospitals were brought back into use and temporary hospitals set up.  Recently retired nurses were asked to return to work.

But the cases reduced, and we discovered that the Virus was not as bad as was first thought.  Covid-19 is not Bubonic Plague, it is not Ebola, it is not even as lethal as the Spanish Flu.

Some people died, of course, mostly very old and sick people in Nursing Homes that were not given the protection they should have had.

Several states closed their borders, and international borders were closed quite early on.
There were still arrivals from overseas, and once it was discovered that some of those arrivals were not adhering to the 14 days required home quarantine, then they were put into compulsory Hotel Quarantine, guards and all.

By May, Australia had successfully controlled the Virus and people were beginning to relax.

The authorities were so relaxed that when thousands of people decided to march for 'Black Lives Matter,'  (large gatherings were prohibited, of course)  no-one interfered with the protesters. In Victoria, they were even assured that that there would be no fines issued.

But by then, in Victoria, the Virus had escaped from Hotel Quarantine because of some very poor organisation of security.

Four of the protesters in the BLM march later tested positive to the Virus,  and since the same sort of casualised workers who were security guards also worked in Nursing Homes, it quickly spread. This was the 'Second Wave' that happened in Victoria,  and could very easily have happened in other states.

It was controlled by such a severe and lengthy lockdown that luckless Victorians could claim to be the most locked down people in all of the world.

By November, the harsh restrictions were successful, and by December, 2020, there had been 28 days of no new infections in Victoria.  The collateral damage, of course, has been enormous.  And yet, the premier, the one responsible for the escape of the virus in the first place, and then for the gross over-reaction, may still win the next election. His approval rating is still high.

Yes, we are very obedient people in Australia.

Undoing Trump's Legacy

In spite of as much hindrance as the Democrat Party could manage, Trump has made many changes and several real achievements in his four years of his presidency.

Foreign Relations:

Peace deals. Trump has brokered peace deals between Israel and three Arab countries,  the UAE, Sudan and Bahrein.   He managed this by bypassing Palestine, who only want peace after the obliteration of Israel, a condition which the Israelis find unacceptable.  He moved the embassy in Israel to its capital, Jerusalem.  And just recently, November, 2020, Trump has committed to pulling 2,500 soldiers out of Afghanistan and Iraq.
Donald Trump has been nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize four times.

-  The 'Caliphate' that  ISIS claimed has been wiped out. Sadly, the sick ideology persists.

- Iran. Trump put an end to the deal that Obama organised. The deal was that Iran committed to not building a nuclear arsenal, temporarily, in exchange for considerations that included a secret and very large amount of money. (Obama, for years, denied that there was money involved.)

NATO.  Trump managed to persuade other countries pay more towards their own protection.

- China - Trump tackled China's unfair trade practices.  Administrations before him had always avoided doing that.

Cuba - Trump reimposed sanctions on Cuba.

The Paris Climate agreement. Trump withdrew from this agreement, pointing out that it disproportionately penalised Western countries while asking nothing of 'developing' countries.

There have been no new wars under Trump.  That does not sound like a big achievement unless you know that every president before him, for decades, started at least one new war.

Domestically

- More spending on Defence.

- Better border protection. (Building a wall was a part of it.)

- The first two Covid vaccines have been announced, both of them at least partly as a result of Trump's 'Operation Warp Speed.'

The Economy:

Lower taxes and the reduction of red and green tape have boosted the economy.  The stock market broke records before Covid, and was rapidly recovering in the months before the election. Unemployment was at a record low.

Joe Biden is expected to be inaugurated as President in January, 2021.

A lot of Trump's achievements will be dismantled, some immediately after Biden takes office. It is said that he is planning 'a blizzard' of executive orders in the first days of his presidency.

He has nominated four key areas to attend to first: Covid 19, economic recovery, racial equality and climate change.

https://www.breitbart.com/2020-election/2020/11/08/biden-readies-executive-orders-reverse-trump-policies-day-one/?fbclid=IwAR3hgxjH7KVsOdr7iHKD3KGkpyBr9vZM-FW8xr0Ud0S2AHMWhSXPHNrOLOc

1. Covid 19:

Joe Biden wants everyone to be wearing masks. Like the current president, he will not have direct control over Covid measures, but he will have influence. He is also advising more severe restrictions and lockdowns.  He is wanting access to the planning of the release of vaccines to the population, although his reason may be more that he wants the credit rather than that he doubts the efficiency of those organising it.

Trump, on the other hand, has said it was up to each person whether or not they wear face-masks, and dislikes lockdowns bacause of the dire effect they have on the economy.

Official advice, including from the World Health Organization has veered from one side to the other, both on the issue of the effectiveness of face masks and the effectiveness of lockdowns.

Trump himself, seldom wears a mask.  Biden is  hardly ever seen without a mask.

https://www.wsj.com/articles/joe-bidens-lockdown-lobby-11605223647?mod=e2fb&fbclid=IwAR2dYEFkGHc-1j6h9EPfHXycm5dWPmHcukf7wlCD1JgabO-jvD1-cO7PPtg

2. Economic Recovery

Joe Biden gave a speech about how he would lead the country to an economic recovery.  But if he influences state governors to lock down, then the economic recovery that was already happening, will be reversed.

"Once we shut down the virus and deliver economic relief to workers and businesses, then we can start to build back better than before," he said.

https://abc7ny.com/what-time-is-biden-speech-today-joe-press-conference-kamala-harris-2020-presidential-election/8013649/

3. Racial Equality:

In 1963,  Sir Martin Luther King said, 'I have a dream.'
Sir Martin Luther King, Jnr

'I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.'

By the 1980s, that was largely achieved. People were judged by character, not by colour of skin.  But that has changed, especially in the last decade.

Now, the pretend 'anti-racists' consider the idea espoused by King, itself, racist.  Now, in the eyes of some on the Left of politics, we must see, first of all, the race of someone, and give any person 'of colour' utmost consideration.  If we criticise a person of colour, no matter how justified, it is likely to be called 'racist.'

('Person of colour' appears to be the latest accepted term. 'Coloured' is now such a racist term that an elderly cricket bureaucrat recently lost his job for using it.)

As racial minorities already have full equality under the law, plus advantaged treatment in many areas such as jobs, what Joe Biden probably means when he speaks of 'racial equality'  is that he will pander to the thugs that run the Black Lives Matter' movement, and emphasise the nonsensical 'Critical Race Theory' (CRT)  that Trump tried to ban.  This is the 'theory' that whites are all privileged and should apologise for their 'inherent racism.'  CRT is a sick and a dangerous ideology of racism that purports to be anti-racism.

Earlier this year, Donald Trump issued an Executive Order banning the use of CRT training in US federal agencies.

It is very likely that that will not only be reversed, but CRT is likely to become far more widespread.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/11/13/critical-race-theory-is-the-ideology-of-the-bureaucracy/?fbclid=IwAR3oiqo14LKuvvzm9McKCFC0UkeesbhiDZXEXcm7g-3A-eMYGVu2wQg2FWA

BLM riots

CRT gives rise to some destructive conclusions such as this nonsense.

Chelsea Handler.- “As long as you are part of the system [and] participating in the system and not trying to dismantle the system, then you are participating in racism [and] in a racist society, because that’s what we are living in.”

Leaders of the Black Lives Matter (BLM)  movement have already been making demands of Biden in return for their support in voting him in.  That may mean some of the 'Defunding the Police' nonsense, and that will mean that everyone becomes less safe.

It is mostly naive young people who think that police can be replaced with social workers.

The ones demonstrating here are young women - those who most need the protection of law and the enforcers of law - the police.

They might be idealistic, but they are very foolish.

-------------------------

4. Climate Change:

In the days before the election, Joe Biden has praised the 'Green New Deal,' and then immediately backtracked and said he did not agree with it.

In the months and years before the election, Joe Biden has said that fracking will be banned, and that it will not be banned.  It appears now that he will ban fracking for new gas supplies, although it was fracking that enabled America to become self sufficient in energy production.

He has also contradicted himself on whether the use of fossil fuels will continue, though the most recent statement seems to be that he will phase it out.

This will be devastating for jobs in some areas and will result in more expensive and less reliable electricity, as has happened in other places.

The banning of the use of fossil fuels has a disproportionately negative effect on normal people, but seldom on the more wealthy.   It is a popular notion among the more wealthy.

Joe Biden wants to attain net zero emissions by 2050.

The Paris Agreement:

Trump withdrew from the Paris agreement because it was disadvantageous to America. At the same time, technological advances have resulted in a decrease in 'emissions'  in America, more than almost all countries that are still in it.

Biden has undertaken to rejoin, and plans a myriad of emission reduction measures - electric cars, for instance.  (It matters not that when all 'emissions' are counted, electric cars are less 'green' than ordinary cars.)

Biden's policies may please Green activists but will be detrimental to America's economy.

Other differences in policy.

China

Not only has China shown itself to be a spiteful and a temperamental trading partner,  it has shown increased aggression in territory acquisition. Xi Jinping (Dictator of China) has told his army to 'prepare for war.'    China is a big worry.

In the years of his presidency, Donald Trump called out China on its unfair trade practices and its cyber-spying, and has refused to show weakness in his dealings with the dictatorship.

Soldiers of the Chinese army

Joe Biden has said that policy in regard to China may not change, but Biden does not have the toughness of Trump. And that is a concern.

https://www.news.com.au/technology/innovation/military/xi-jinping-tells-china-marine-corps-to-prepare-for-war/news-story/2adfa20da8edf1b601fcaf46747860f5

Biden and Brexit:

When Britain was having their referendum on Brexit, then President Obama threatened that if they voted for Brexit, then they could not count on America to give them any preferential trade treatment.  Trump, on the other hand, is supportive.

But Biden is not.  Biden's win is bad for Britain. It may even be used by those in Britain who still want to defy the people's will, and remain as a part of the EU.

https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/11/09/biden-vs-brexit/?fbclid=IwAR0N5Rtz2WnYlXfh02ffqpmLIcRBKPbusp34dbcUvN_do3tQKNn7UPyDMgM

Iran

Biden will almost certainly drop the sanctions on Iran, rejoin the nuclear deal, and maybe even give them large amounts of money as they did before. And that means they can start on their nuclear armoury again.

Mullahs

Palestine:

Trump ceased giving 'Aid' to Palestine, knowing how likely it was that it was being used to continue their attacks on Israel. Now it is very likely the payments will resume.

https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/11/palestinians-eager-to-start-receiving-american-taxpayer-money-again-in-biden-administration?fbclid=IwAR0jiBS_yG6CWfm8pQTgsIKmITHG5sCo44HhBhcY8C5MLj94cjQtWz0Xv7s

Refugee Policy and the so-called 'Muslim Ban.'

At the beginning of his presidency, Trump suspended entry of migrants from Syria, Somalia, and Yemen over terror risk. They called it a 'Muslim ban,' although it was never a ban on all Muslims, just those Muslim nations that had a record of producing terrorists.

It is likely that Joe Biden will end that, although he has not actually said so. All the same, Al Jazeera had a headline that the US ‘Muslim ban’ set to end ‘on day one’ of Biden presidency.

https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/11/al-jazeera-celebrates-the-end-to-us-muslim-ban-on-day-one-of-biden-presidency?fbclid=IwAR1ENHxusHCXzmNpqk9rnDFot-BUKPlDwV4KXB2Mu_WaRMiHWla7ZkgBhEg

Muslims in US want Biden to change refugee limits to allow more migrants into the country. It is likely he will comply.

https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/11/muslims-in-us-want-biden-to-change-refugee-limits-to-allow-more-migrants-into-the-country?fbclid=IwAR2dJfNqWFJY7VNRBE1NOO5ABp3F-Ae7cV3Y4660onV7xz2rgg3mfkHxVro

Illegal immigration:   Trump tried hard to reduce illegal immigration.  Biden and the Democrats have always criticised that policy, even though presidents before Trump had also tried to reduce the flow of illegal immigrants.

'A source familiar with the Biden team’s planning said the incoming administration will withdraw from the three bilateral agreements Mr. Trump brokered with Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras that allow the U.S. to send rejected asylum-seekers to those countries and have them seek refuge there.'

Censorship

Free Speech:

Donald Trump has tried to force universities to enable free speech on their campuses.  He is a believer in free speech.  The left side of politics doesn't seem to believe in free speech at all. The whole notion of being 'politically correct' is an attack on free speech.

Politically correct speech, along with the so-called 'Cancel Culture' invariably comes from the Left side of politics, the side of politics that likes to call itself 'progressive.'  One obvious example is the BLM movement, very much a Leftist notion. BLM ideas are behind the re-writing of history, the destruction of statues, the renaming of  brands and place names, and in general, the vilification of Western Civilisation.  Leftist notions try to make us ashamed of patriotism.

During the election campaign,  and in the post election period, social media and mainstream media have been very much on the side of the Democrats.  For instance, there were emails that came to light that expose Hunter Biden, the son of Joe Biden, (then Vice-President) as using that relationship to make money. The very strong implication was that Joe Biden was complicit.  But the emails were suppressed.  Biden profited from this censorship.

Biden has also profited from the way that social media is treating legitimate questions about electoral fraud.  At the least there is a 'fact checker' note attached saying the voter fraud is very rare.  Some people have had their accounts suspended or cancelled, even when the account belongs to someone in a responsible and important position.  Twitter,  Facebook and Google have been an important influence in this election and in the stifling of the doubts and queries about its honesty.

The media proclaimed that Biden had won long before it was official, (It is not official even now, 24th November.)  The media stifles any attempt to say 'not yet.'

Joe Biden is profiting from a biased media.  I do not think that Joe Biden is likely to stand up for free speech.

The above are the political implications of a change of presidency.

There are some personal implications as well, particularly, the possibility of some nasty repercussions from some VERY nasty people.

Biden said in his victory speech - 'We must stop treating our opponents as our enemies. We are not enemies, we are Americans.'  He preached unity and harmony and said that it was time to unite.  “This is the time to heal in America.”

His words have gone unheeded. Anyone who dared to support Trump are subject to insults from all sorts of people,  both from ordinary people, and from those people who consider themselves important in the world, whether or not they are.

 *  Left-wing filmmaker Rob Reiner has made the wild accusation that the Republican party is “an accomplice to murder” and that the party is out of its “collective fucking mind.”

- Richard Marx (singer, apparently.)  'Donald Trump is sh*t and his worshipers the toilet paper.'

- Donald Trump's son tested positive to Covid 19, and that resulted in a series of random insults from Hollywood celebrities, including Bette Midler, Jimmy Kimmel, Ron Perlman, and George Takei. Many of the nasty comments referred to him taking drugs - I guess Hollywood celebrities know all about taking drugs!

There are threats of future retaliation:

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-Kolyma) tweeted “Is anyone archiving these Trump sycophants for when they try to downplay or deny their complicity in the future?

Later in the same article (link below) it said,  'Former Obama administration staffer Michael Simon said that he is gathering the names of anyone who supported Trump in the 2016 and 2020 election.' and 'In the future, these activists hope to use the gathered information to intimidate anyone from hiring a Trump supporter and to shame Republicans for utilizing their Constitutional right.'

A Biden campaign worker, tweeted:  “We’re launching the Trump Accountability Project to make sure anyone who took a paycheck to help Trump undermine America is held responsible for what they did.”

Michelle Obama said: "Let’s remember that tens of millions of people voted for the status quo, even when it meant supporting lies, hate, chaos, and division."

Of course, a lot of people simply thought that that Trump's policies were better than that of the Democrats.  But Michelle Obama's statement -  that is the one that is hateful.

Jennifer Rubin, writer for the Washington Post. “It’s not only that Trump has to lose, but all his enablers have to lose. We have to collectively burn down the Republican Party. We have to level them. Because if there are survivors, if there are people who weather this storm, they will do it again.”

Rosanna Arquette on Twitter. - “The Gop are Nazi gestapo they blindly follow their insane unhinged leader and commit crimes against humanity.”

A "Truth and Reconciliation Commission.'

On October 21st, Bill Clinton’s Labor Secretary Robert B.  Reich said, “When this nightmare is over, we need a Truth and Reconciliation Commission. It would erase Trump’s lies, comfort those who have been harmed by his hatefulness, and name every official, politician, executive, and media mogul whose greed and cowardice enabled this catastrophe.”

Reich's opinions reek of totalitarianism - re-education camps, punishment for dissenters. Siberia anyone?

What a disgrace you are, Mr. Reich.

Like the 'McCarthyism' of the 50s,  some anti-Trumpers want to destroy careers.

Attacks on lawyers and other staff of the Trump administration.

The Australian, 16th November, 2020.  'Lawyers face criticism and threats, law students have pledged to not work for four law firms that have represented the Trump campaign, one law firm withdrew from representing them referring to "Leftist mobs' and other law firms decline the work because of possible repercussions.'

-  There is a petition circulating at Harvard to stop former Trump administration officials from attending, teaching or speaking at the university

There has been violence against Trump supporters:

There was a protest 'Stop the Steal' or 'The Million Maga March' by Trump Supporters on March, 15th November, 2020.   'Hundreds of thousands' attended according to some reports, merely 'thousands' according to others.

It was a very big march, but there was no property damage, no violence until most had gone home.  And then the Antifa and BLM thugs, the lowest, nastiest scum of the Biden supporters, started attacking the stragglers. There were vicious attacks, even on women and children.  There are pictures of screaming toddlers in strollers.  As far as I know, Joe Biden has not spoken to condemn these wicked attacks by those who purport to support him.

Sky News, 16/11/2020

'Police were forced to intervene after a day of mostly peaceful protests in Washington DC became violent when Black Lives Matter and Antifa protesters crossed paths with Trump supporters on the main street leading to the White House.
Law enforcement officers blocked off streets in an effort to try and keep the two groups apart but were forced to protect a hotel where Trump fans were staying from anti-Trump activists.'

Rita Panahi, 17th November: "Absolutely disgraceful how little coverage there has been of the violent attacks against Trump supporters in DC after the weekend’s march. There’s footage of elderly people, women & children being attacked by Antifa & BLM thugs & yet the bulk of the media has ignored it."

Trump Supporter Attacked, Cut in Head Amid ‘Million MAGA March’ in DC

Threatening the family of  Republicans,  including their children

This is the most disgraceful of all -  a threat to children. It apparently succeeded.  There is no mention in the article of any punishment of the perpetrator of this action.

What happened is that the Wayne County Board of Canvassers (Michigan) voted 2-2 to deny certification of the Nov. 3 election votes because of 'ballot discrepancies' in Detroit.  Monica Palmer stated that she was open to certifying everywhere but Detroit.

But then her children were threatened by Abraham Aiyash, the one who stood to gain his position once the vote was certified.

'The Democratic Michigan State Representative-elect, Abraham Aiyash,  doxxed the chairwoman of the Wayne County Board of Canvassers on a public Zoom meeting on Tuesday, revealing where her children attend school and claiming that she was enabling racism by refusing to certify the Wayne County Election.'    (By Jordan Davidson,  The Federalist, November 18, 2020)

Shortly afterwards, both Republican board members changed their votes to certify the election. Aiyash has his way, even though they both later rescinded their certifying votes, citing bullying.   The last I heard of it, the rescission was not permitted, and so the winner was certified, even when the 'irregularities' included oddities like more votes than voters.

Aiyash succeeded in his aim by threatening children.  Who would want a representative like that?

--------------------------------------

Those lawyers who are trying to represent Republicans and throwing doubt on the honesty of the election are being threatened.

'According to civil rights attorney Harmeet Dhillon, lawyers representing Republicans have received death threats and been "doxxed" by people opposing the Trump-Pence campaign's ability to lawfully challenge contentious election results.'

https://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/16773/trump-lawyers-cancel-culture?fbclid=IwAR2FZXWnGqXh_lhTCU7tbwYhSIkX9yrmyKwDOs69IHXmiVIv_xTXynBHwUA

This is Sidney Powell,  who has become the face of the law team seeking to prove massive election fraud, sufficient to change the apparent result.  I am hoping that she survives with her reputation intact and she and her family still safe.  Once, we would never have expected anything else, but times have changed.

As at 24th November, the election is not yet decided, although we are constantly told by social media and conventional media that Joe Biden is the 'projected' winner of the 2020 presidential election.  We are also being told that Trump is being 'defiant' by not yet conceding, and by not yet allowing Biden access to briefings.

Emily Murphy is the administrator of the General Services Administration (GSA),  in charge of organising the transition.  She states that she had received threats from those attempting to coerce her into approving the presidential transition of Joe Biden “prematurely.”

Trump has tweeted - 'I want to thank Emily Murphy at GSA for her steadfast dedication and loyalty to our Country. She has been harassed, threatened, and abused – and I do not want to see this happen to her, her family, or employees of GSA.'

And so he encouraged her to allow the transition to begin, although firmly stating that is not an indication of his surrender.

https://www.breitbart.com/politics/2020/11/23/gsa-chief-emily-murphy-details-threats-to-her-life-family-pets/?fbclid=IwAR1rb3xPbhmpDl1yTIem4HnGBlzpAZyQThW1639D0BmH5j0cIqu4OdpxfuQ

So again, nasty threats have been used and were successful. It is not a good omen for the incoming administration.  It is not exactly in the spirit of Biden's slightly premature victory speech.

"It's time to put away the harsh rhetoric, lower the temperature, see each other again, listen to each other again. And to make progress we have to stop treating our opponents as enemies."

"This is the time to heal in America."
